What style of house do you prefer?

It took me a while to make a decision actually. I wanted to select more than one, but since thats not possible i just went for deep house.

In the words of Baloo, a Saudi Arabian dj friend of mine: "Deep House has become the name for overall good house in general."

And that quote is just very wrong. I only believe that sometimes there's an oscillation between some tracks being soulful house or deep, but that's it. Not every good thing is Deep House, at all. And not every track having the word "deep" in it is Deep House, also.
Tracks that are Deep House are often easy to identify as such, and to DISTINGUISH from Tech-House. It only takes an ear and experience.

yeah maybe ur right, i didnt make my point clear i guess. what i meant was in sites like beatport or juno, when we go thru the "deep" section, we often get straight up house music, simply thrown into the category of 'deep'. is that clearer? thanx for poiting that out by the way

My vote landed on soulful as that's what I generally listen to and play the most these days, but I like most kinds of "real" house, also I'm a sucker for anything that's old school...

I used to listen to progressive some 3-4 years back, but I don't feel the same as I did then anymore so these days it's mostly soulful, deep, tech and everything between which is banging on my stereo. Not to mention soul and disco!
