[justify]Daniel Reis, Brazilian Soul Crew's session musician, steps off the shadow and unleashes two jazz-fueled tracks on Grooveland Music.
Azee, Claudio Mansur and Edground first met Daniel Reis back in 2008. Before the meeting, Daniel used to travel along rock bands, playing as stage keyboardist. Since then, Daniel have worked toghether with the trio as their session musician.
The name of the EP, wich translates to "little watermil" was chosen by Daniel himself, and pays homage to black people who were enslaved during the colonial period in Brazil.
Monjolinho EP, produced by BSC, features the original version of Monjolinho Jazz, the 4tothefloor BSC House Remix, and the deeper Trancemicsoul Crescent Moon Remix. Rounding the pack, come the tribalish Afro Blues, that remember some of Marlon D productions.
Monjolinho EP is already a favourite with the likes of Andy Ward, Benjamin-Kristof Rakun, Charles Spencer, Duce Martinez, Ian Friday, Hernan Cronner, Mark Mendoza, Joey Silvero, Ralf Gum, Robert Owens, Steve SoulBasics, Tarek, and many, many other top jocks around the globe.

First listen to this Monjolinho EP and quickly confirm the idea that these guys at Grooveland are not joking at all! Daniel Reis made the track that gave the name at the ep. It’s so sweet in the original version and above all in the BSC deep jazzy house re-work. Love that deep bass guys. The ‘Trancemicsoul Crescent Moon Mix’ is not on our style, but good also.
‘Afro Blues’ is awesome!!!! The ‘original’ and ‘piano’ mix are really crazyyy!! Well done! Full Support!”
Mike Fossati - Spirit of House
With the "Monjolinho EP", Daniel Reis, Brazilian Soul Crew's session musician, presents two marvelous jazz fueled tracks. "Monjolinho Jazz" oozes with a smooth yet resistless broken beat flavored groove and luscious keys, reworked by the Brazilian Soul Crew into a delicious deep house gem, while Trancemicsoul deepen the vibe to the max and use lush atmospheric synth melodies to give the track an outer space feel. Rounding the release off is "Afro blues", a ruthless afro drenched tribal stomper featuring freaky keys, with the 'Piano Mix' featuring an extra jazz-tastic piano.
