For our next release on Tribe Records, we are proud to present a new artist, Carla Prather from Chicago to our ever increasing diverse artist roster. Carla has recorded with some of the most elite musicians and producers of our time including Quentin Harris, Jellybean Benitez, Vic Lavender, and regularly performs with Chicago bands Zzaje and Mr. Ali, and has worked with music legend Roy Ayers. Recently, performing in a sold-out performance at The Metro in Chicago.

It was in 2004 when Jere and Carla first collaborated when Carla joined Jere who was already a member Mr Ali and penned Cast Your Spell which was released on West End Records.

Carla has worked with many contemporary artists including Common, Amel Larrieux, Al. B. Sure, KRS 1, Erykah Badu, plus a host of others, honing her craft both as a vocalist and songwriter.

She has recorded with some of the most elite musicians and producers of our time including Quentin Harris, Jellybean Benitez, Vic Lavender, Maurice Joshua.

Jeremiah Jere McAllister started his music career, at the tend age of 19, with the legendary DJ International Records. He recorded 3 releases for DJI (Never Let You Down, Breathless, and What I Do) before leaving the label to join Steve Silk Hurley%u2019s ID Productions. During his DJ International period, he wrote the music for Let the Music Use You by The NightWriters (under the pseudonym Alan Walker). This record (described by UK journalists as defining deep house) was produced by the Godfather of House, Frankie Knuckles, and was a smash in the UK (and Europe), during the Summer of Love of 1988.

Give You, Give Me is a great piece of feel good soulful house music, superbly produced by Jere with neat drums and keys climaxing in stupendous horns that are reminiscent of Chaka Khans I Know You, I Live You. Carla definitely brings the fire with a great piece of song writing.

The package has now been strengthen further by some fantastic remixes from man of the moment Sean McCabe and Black Sonix which got a lot of circulation at the recent WMC conference in Miami!
