In the tradition of the classic Chicago house sound we present the “Time 2 Dance Ep” by Melvin Meeks. The title track was original released on the 1st Chicago ep a few years back. The track also features legend Paul Johnson on vocals as well as collaborative help. The tracks Funky Melody & Momentum Swing both have a strong classic Chicago vibe. As with most of Mr. Meeks tracks these are geared at the peak of the party.
On remix duty for “Funky Melody” we have Karu & Smooth Agent’s owner Sean Smith. Karu’s mix takes original to deep tech house territory. If you have not heard one of Karu’s productions get ready to be taken to a few musical places. This mix will definitely not disappoint. Sean Smith’s take on “Funky Melody” takes the track in to Chicago house territory with a lil nu disco flavor as well. For an extra spin on the situation Sean strips down the track with his deep drops dub. This one is basically a melody with classic drops for the dj. We hope this one finds you well.
