In this 2nd installment of the 2012 mixes of Black Mamba’s “Africa” we have 3 Distinct Mixes by 3 different house producers. For the 1st mix we have a mix by the Smooth Agent chief Sean Smith. On Sean’s mix he takes a traditional Afro Beat approach. The mix is complete with afro percussion, a buzzy bass guitar, horn section and a groove that would have had Fela moving a foot to. A full vocal mix is included along with a dub as well. The next mix is by Chicago’s Bruce Rodgers aka Union Effect. The union effect mix oozes with soulful deep house. This is a style that will sit fine in a bar setting but will also work for the big room As well. Chicago deep house at it’s best! To put the finishing touch on this package we have a longtime friend of Smooth Agent, Karu with his Venom mix. Quentin Allen aka Karu takes Africa to the next level in house music. The Venom mix takes music nods from various styles of today’s dance music including, electro, drum & bass and deep house. This is only a concoction that Karu could have dreamed of.
