DJ CHILLY (Dolce-Miami): Always a treat to welcome that undeniably sweet, sweet voice of Ms. Stephanie Cooke. The Gregory Del Piero mix is tres cute and definitely worth a spin. The Spiritual Blessings Best Friends Mix is rock solid from opening bouncy groove to melodious flow of keys and vocals. (The effects are just too tight!) Having fallen hopelessly for the sound of warm pads atop a deep house beat, I dropped the Wil Milton Lickquid Lyfe Vocal Mix the other day. Wil Milton does a superb job here elevating an already beautiful song to soaring heights. 10/10 I was not feeling the Nef Nunez Deep Touch Mix. The Island Groove Remix, The Mark Di Meo Vocal Mix and Tony Loreto Spirit Sound Remix are all good interpretations that work well. The irresistibly fun Phil R Remix is another fave of mine. Finally the Steve Paradise Dub Mix is one I cannot wait to play. All and all a great package!

Cette sortie est un ensemble de neuf remixes du titre, nous offrant chacun une vision personnel de ce morceau. Sur l'ensemble des titres, Stephanie Cooke nous offre une envolée lyrique avec un chant doux, chaud et soyeux à propos de la disparition d'une ancienne flamme et les sentiments sincères que cela peut provoquer. Les remixes du français Gregory Del Piero et de l'italien Island Groove sont probablement les remixes les plus efficaces dans un DJ set et sur une dancefloor. Island Groove rajoute d'ailleurs pour l'occasion quelques légères sonorités tribales pour rendre le rythme plus percutant. Le remix de Tony Loreto utilise une structure de House un peu trop facile à mon goût qui n'est pas sans rappeler une approche un peu plus commerciale qu'artistique mais le remix n'en reste pas moins efficace pour autant. Mark Di Meo accentue, quant à lui, la présence vocale de Stéphanie Cooke en mettant la musique un peu plus en retrait. Steve Paradise nous offre une version Dub au vocal très allégé, samplé et bouclé. Il rajoute aussi de nombreux effets et rythmiques pour le rendre plus percutant. Will Milton et Nef Nunez ont chacun une vision plus Deep de ce titre, le premier accentuant plus le côté deep de la voix, là où le second préfère agir musicalement.
Chacun arrivera probablement à y trouver une version à son goût grâce à ses nombreux remixes. Bien que parfois très proche, ils arrivent cependant globalement à chacun avoir une identité propre. Il n'est pas facile non plus de se laisser de la divine voix de Stephanie Cooke...

MICHAEL BLACK (The Ryan Giggs of Bodytonic!) : Stephanie Cooke is one of my all time vocalists. Her output on King Street is legendary on my show so I was very excited when you sent me the link. I was especially surprised to see how many remixes and versions there were in this package. The Spiritual Blessings remix stands out for me because of it's excellent synth bassline which really turns the track into a funky jam. This remix also brings out the best in Stephanie's vocal delivery.
