I think vinyl lets you get to a point in the track quicker than a CD. Of course if you really cheat and use the computer, that's not an issue
. The old school classics were harder to mix because of real drummers playing so it made it harder to ride the mix into another song that's when slamming came into play. It's much easier to do today because everything is electronic and it hits that beat right on time.
I think house needs to get back out in the mainstream again on metropolitan radio stations like WBLS and WKRS in NY back in the day to let some non clubbers hear what's going on in the clubs. It seems as though clubs for house music is slowly dieing and the bars and grills are taking over. All in all we need to do what ever it takes to keep house alive. I have live thru disco, club and now house music, we need to keep it going!
